NET ZERO CARBON TRAINING ON Saturday, 18th May 2024 As you are well aware, Net-zero carbon, or carbon neutrality, is important for India's economy because it can improve competitiveness, energy security, and future economic prosperity. India is one of the world's largest greenhouse gas emitters, and net-zero emissions can reduce greenhouse gas emissions from renewable energy resources, which are cleaner than fuels. It is very important to consider the net zero carbon concept to promote a circular economy with sustainability. As a responsible citizen, we must promote the net zero carbon concept. Further, the government is taking proactive steps to promote environmental sustainability. E.g. the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) is a mandatory disclosure mechanism for the top 1,000 listed companies in India to report on their performance on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects. The BRSR was voluntary for the fiscal year 2021–2022, and mandatory for the fiscal year 2022–2023. The BRSR requires companies to demonstrate their commitment to responsible business practices. To continue this trend further, proper exposure to the net zero concept is necessary. Considering this Dr. Jivraj Mehta Institute of Technology (DJMIT) along with the National Odour Research & Management Institute (NORMI) has taken the initiative to arrange a series of training with different options to suit the trainee’s needs with the help of top-notch technocrats and trainers of national repute. The very first training in this series is going to be organized on Saturday, 18th May 2024.
